justa, SnP500 leading the way. Just wondering whether the selling this year has finally been exhausted...even if for a while. No much new offerings; no significant insider selling according to recent trimtab reports.

Would also note that tech mutual funds saw outflows all year. That is a long time for outflows.
In addition, movement out of large cap growth/value stocks had also been quite significant. Something to think about.

Last week's AMGDATA even indicated outflow (for week ended August 7th--link below) even with the recovery in the markets. That was surprising.
What happens in the markets if we suddenly see a big surge in inflows (even if for a few weeks). Index fund buying could be huge. Again bond yields so low that we will probably see movement into stocks.
Supply versus demand....although some can make a valuation argument for higher stock prices too.
