GM, I'm sure glad Iceberg is OK!

I think Apple should change their marketing strategy,
though. They ought to buy advertising space on milk
cartons showing a PC user up to his neck in wires, cards,
and IRQ/DMA config.frustraton: "Have You Seen This Person?"

I completely agree with you on unions. I generally dislike
the union activities in this country, but I completely agree
that without them, workers would be in peril. So I accept
the lesser evil.

The FDR government sounds much more socialist than I had
imagined. I don't know much about their economy and industry,
but I do know that their universities are turning
out some of the brightest software engineers in the world,
while ours are making cumbersome bohemoth apps like Word 6.
Have you ever seen Toast, the CD-R premastering software?
That is the most recent and outstanding German achievement
I can imagine...sooo simple, yet it handles any complex
function you throw at it...and hides it from the user.

It reminds me of when the Germans took the color dye
industry away from the British at the turn of the century.
