11:59AM UTStarcom (UTSI) 13.07 -2.95: Stock has been steadily selling off this morning (-18.4%), likely due to a pre-open Lehman note that said the risk to UTSI remains to the downside, especially if CDMA450 gains Chinese approval (CDMA is much cheaper to deploy in rural areas than UTSI's PAS technology) and given the impending Softbank lockup on Aug 27; firm believes stock is fairly valued at current levels. I assume this is a type of fixed or limited roaming wireless and that QCOM will get a piece of the action. Anyone know anything more? Noticed on PCS Web site, 4 of 6 "vision" models were listed as sold out. Haven't been to the local office yet to check.
