MrB, I find myself staying at the tube late just to see what else you'll come up with. The Apple/milk carton idea is brilliant. LOL!

While Germany may turn out great programmers - so did the Soviet
Union (or at least brilliant scientists).

Have never seen Toast, but that's how I felt about APL. You could program in one line what took pages in, say, Fortran. OK, that dates me. APL is still language of choice with many scientists and engineers at IBM.

I defer to you there - I don't remember that far back.

Iceberg's predicament is a common one for PC users. I should have thought of that. But I have a neighbor who is fed up with his Mac.
And there is a fellow sailor who recently switched to PC. He wanted
his files to be compatible.
