Actually, the situation has not significantly changed, other than the institutions have given up.
VTSS must stretch cash until new/existing products take hold, or else.
At some point, and the largest players are telling us it will be more than a quarter, the sector will come back to profitability. For us long term folks, use your speculative $$, not reserved for Pfizer, Citibank, or Exxon, and nibble in. If VTSS makes it through the tunnel, it will pay.
Facts:
email will continue to increase, much to the chagrin of USPS
broadband will grow, but like a glacier, irresistably
all the equipment purchased in 1999 will be OLD in 2003
VOIP is coming; don't blink.
Over the horizon:
the next "killer app" is about a year off and will soak up significant portions of existing bandwidth.
