If a guy was prisoner of war of the US he hates the US and think the British were very good.

If the guy was prisoner of the Americans he hate the US and likes the British.

I was driving through the Black Forest with my former boss at Siemens. I offered a chewing gum, he declined. Said he never chewed gum. His Father hated chewing gum. I asked why. He said he was a POW of the Americans. They were given wood to built their own barracks had to work hard and food was very little and they felt hungry all the time.

The US soldiers around them were chewing gum all the time which makes few even hungrier. He never ever allowed one of his kids chew gum.

It was the other way around with the father of my friend who was caught by the British. He couldn't talk about the British without say: "God strife the British" but its another story...
