I would ask why we provoked Saddam Hussein. I would also ask why we didn't pursue legal means to monitor and perhaps punish him. They are available and effective.

Think of the millions of lives that could have been saved if Hitler was taken out in the 30's.

1. It is quite possible that Britain and America's delayed entry saved the Allies. There is a school of thought that they were not ready for war, and needed to gear up.
2. Hussein is nothing like Hitler. That is obvious.
