Billy, the announcement is good because it now levels the playing field between the longs and shorts. The shorts are now sitting on dead money for at least 6 weeks ( unless Cube pre-announces again an earnings shortfall next quarter ) and their paying margin interest to boot! In this type of wild speculative market, their subject to take their profits and move on to greener and darker pastures. The shorts have to be disappointed here. The longs, however, still desperately need Cube to make some DVD design wins. Widespread acceptance of Cubes products is the big question here. In terms of earnings going forward, that's still a big question mark! What analyst is going to put his neck or job on the line and upgrade a stock that's 75% off its highs? It's easier to wait and see what develops here. I see a bounce tomorrow. With the tech stocks openning broadly lower, I wonder how much of a bounce we'll get. I do see, however, a potential spike above resistance at 22.25 into the 25-27 range. But I think that would be met with widespread selling and be short lived. The burden is still on Cube to produce and market their products effectively.
