That his neighbors "felt that Saddam was a threat and support OUR war" would have been better poised as "THEIR" war.

I always felt that we went in to protect their lives and our interests in the Gulf but no it seems that we are forcing the issue now on our own behalf ignoring the others.

It seems we might be overstepping our bounds. That is why it appears to me good sense that we leave Saddam alone after he agrees to some kind of inspection. Let his neighbors cry out for help before we meddle in the region or is oil the only thing that makes us belligerent? We can't bear that he might have the atom bomb, but others in East have it. If we destroy Saddam will we have any guarantees that some other small state or even a future Iraqui leader will not come up with the means. Should we have to take them all out? Iran, North Korea and Iraq?

Saddam has not been proven to be part of the terrorist group that struck us 9/11. Or has he?
