Here is more info - about 3/4 of RSTN's long-term investments is cash-equivalent too (the rest is strategic VC investments in start-ups):

At June 1, 2002, we had cash and cash equivalents of approximately $45.5 million, short-term investments of $199.3 million and marketable long-term investments of $166.4 million. We regularly invest excess funds in money market funds, commercial paper and government and non-government debt securities.
