It would have been easy to overlook when Millipore spun off Mykrolis to its shareholders back in February of this year. However, one of the things about the creation of MYK that struck me as being significant was the fact that the President and CEO of Millipore resigned that position to become President and CEO of Mykrolis.

However, since one of my philosophies is "Follow the Money - not the Media" I just made a mental note of the event and went on to other things.

The reason for commenting on it now is that one of my "follow the money" metrics came into play this week. T.Rowe Price filed a SC 13G/A on Tuesday in which it announced that it had increased its ownership of MYK from 771,949 shares to 3,901,128 shares - an increase of 405%.

The combination of these two events present a very interesting story.
