Dell hasn't innovated in the product technology. They have innovated in the business model making them the least cost producer in their sector. They've turned the dream of mass customization into reality. A PC is only built after they've received a firm customer order.

CPQ which successfully took on IBM couldn't compete and no longer exists; or is a rapidly fading memory in HPQ.

Dell has less than 20% market share; it can continue to grow for a very long time at higher profit margins than other players.

Might its stock price go down substantially? Sure, but I'd guess that others will suffer more, sooner.
