Overall, there is no way to make the argument that GWB has been losing to the left wing enemy. Both before and after 911, he has thrown them for a loop most of the time, and the decision as to whether signing CFR was a mistake or a maximization of gains for him will have to wait. Since even the fanatic, mush-minded McCain, Feingold, Shayes, and Meehan figure the court will gut the worst of it, the indications are GWB did the right thing. We'll see...
