now, that is a scary story.

A few years back, you may remember, I had that hernia surgery....yeah, that's the one, the one where I came up with "no trading while under the influence of narcotics".

Anyway, for a very short period of time I was with Kaiser. I went in to get the hernia problem attended to. They agreed, I needed surgery. So they said that they would call me to schedule the surgery. They did say that it may take a couple of months. So, meanwhile after about 6 months, I got another job and said "screw this noise" about going with an HMO and went with a PPO plan. Well, a year and a half later and at least a year after I had cancelled the Kaiser coverage, they called me. They now had an opening to do my surgery. I laughed.
