for lack of ability to see that the war is on.

Sounds like as we set here chattering, the war is passing us by. We have talked a great deal about the difficulty of running this operation though Turkey, but we missed the point that it is much easier than we supposed, because we are on the ground in force there already, through the Kurdish connection.

It is really amazing that we get this kind of rundown out of the Asian Times, while the NYT and the WP spend their time blasting any start of an operation that is already happening. I don't think this article is wrong, so where are the reports like this in our papers? Could it possibly be that they are holding back because of National Security?

Think of the pressure this is putting on the upper levels of politicians, civil servants, and Generals in the Iraqi government. They must know this is happening. They know we can take out Saddam, and they want to survive with their families. But their hands are tied until we make a move on Saddam. I think a "quick collapse" is the best guess as to what will happen.
