Interesting Book Review, From "TLS". It ties in with the "Noble Savage" concept, and is allied with "Multiculturalism."

Careful. Different things are different. One of the codes of multiculturalism is to have respect for other cultures; but that hardly means to stop being critical of horrific practices. There are, perhaps, a few sophomoric types who adhere to the notions you present. But generally, when you read things like the 3 conclusions one is in the presence of that most traditional of argument forms: create a fiction, then argue, fiercely, that the fiction is gross. I haven't read the book but it looks a litle like that tactic.

Anthropology would be the discipline most likely to harbor the views you criticize. Would be sort of interesting to see what the book says about that discipline. Not my discipline, however.
