Same as my take. Plus the material move into the server and storage markets.

I don't see any reason to own Sun or HPQ.

The only devil in the details was his intention to "stick our toe in the water" to compete in the white box market. That means they will be competing with themselves in desktops, IMO.

Bought Dell Friday.

On another note, James Morgan of Applied said on CNBC this week that he hasn't done an "IT refresh" since 1999, and is due. Sounds like there is significant pent up demand, which plays into Michael Dell's "stretched rubber band" simile.

Also bought Siebel November 5 calls @ 3.80 Friday. Virtually no premium.
