Huh? Abiotic? I suppose that means not made from the bodies of the dead.
Sure I have a comment on that and it is wrong. Oil is made from oceanic deposits, subducted and floated back up through the crust and caught in impermeable strata traps. That's been my theory, not yet adopted by anyone I've seen, since 1981, when I noticed a strong ophiolite/oil correlation around the world.
Oil is also the fuel which powers volcanoes into huge explosions. Water acts as a propellant too as it turns to gas. The column of liquid turns to gas and up she goes in a huge bang. Some volcanoes are tame affairs, involving only burbling magma such as the pahoehoe flows which are fun to watch up close [not that I've done that].
The phreatic/magma bleves are not something to observe up close and personal. About 100,000 people in the central north island of New Zealand are going to be killed and $billions in damage done when Taupo goes bang again, on schedule [which is any time now]. The authorities, after it happens, will find out why it all went so horribly wrong and make sure it never happens again by shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. Just as it is now not permitted for crazy-looking young Moslem guys to carry box-cutters in groups on airliners. If that is considered a racist, sexist, agist, crazist, religiosist, knifist or authoritist statement, that's because the considerer is a Mindless Zombie.
