mm- disagree. There is a fundamental differnce between shorts and longs. Not all longs are long term investors but long term investment is a big part of the provision of capital. shorting is to the investment structure what the ebola virus is to the human body. No one can deny that after what we have seen epspecailly this week. Shorting should be a criminal offence. That rampant shorting has destryed ten times what the WCOM and Enron lot did is undeniable and now laid bare for everyone to see. Shorting is worse than calling fire in crowded movie theatre.
