>>>Let's get back to semiconductor equipment stocks.<<<

Its not that easy... in the last ten years politics have had a frequent and significant impact on stock prices. Muslim politics/beliefs caused 9/11. The Bush response on anything that effects the market and all of us moves the market.

Have you noticed that as the Israeli/Palestinean political situation deteriorates our market tanks.

As Bush talks of War with Iraq, and the evil countries he would like to attack...the market tanks.

It wasn't always that way...the politics of the Korean War and the war in Vietnam did not seem to greatly influence the market on a day to day basis.

But world political events on a day to day basis cause gyrations in our market. So if the linkage is there..it should be discussed.

I find it funny that of the 100's of people I know and talk to on a frequent basis...not one voted for Gore. (how could that be <g>...its almost as hard to find a Gore voter as it was to find a Nixon voter years ago.

I personally hope that Bush says nothing about making war plans on Iraq, Iran or N. Korea, or defending Taiwan, or chasing terrorists to the ends of the earth. The market could use some peace and quiet for a while.

JMO...Jerome
