Understood. I think it is wonderful the deaf made a community because the hearing were not accepting enough- but to give up hearing for that alternate small community? After all, if a child really wants to be deaf, all they have to do is turn their implant off- what the deaf are afraid of is that they won't WANT to. But if we love people, we give them the choice to be more than we are, if they have the opportunity.
