But most suicides don't really want to die- what they really want is for things to change. For people to value them more, for people to love them more, for situations to be different- at least that is what I heard.

I think suicide is the reaction to a reality in which no other option is perceived. I understand that reality, but I also understand that reality is subject to sudden change- and when you jump off a bridge, I think that can cause a sudden shift in reality- such as "Oh NO- i suddenly see there WERE other options." Life is like that, I think. And not just for suicides.
