Fatuous and self righteous would apply to, say, Bill Bennett, semi-official proselityzer of "moral clarity". Given the prevalence of people around here who equate anybody not to the right of Colin Powell on the war issue with Neville Chamberlain, I'd say there's a few posters who might fit that description locally, but I won't go there.

I will admit to being sarcastic and cynical. If you want to call that "self righteous", well, I guess you can argue definitions with LindyBill.
