I do not think that all that is accomplished is deplorable results. But I do think that there is a need to get more solid majorities in the House and Senate, as well as a decent level of support for the President, before much can be accomplished, and the corollary is that you focus on the top items in your agenda and push those when you are in a trickier position. As for the Libertarians, they may be having an effect, but not as a party, rather, through institutions like Cato. That is where they should concentrate their efforts, on philosophical debate and policy analysis......
