Yep, now I remember why threads became moderated. Nobody wanted to do it (deny free speech) but often the thread would subside into name calling and insults. It happens in real life discussions too, I guess the patient amongst us can just wait it out. Fact is... those who sink to the name calling levels usually never forgive the other party and become po'd about it forever. Like you suggest, the best idea is to keep the conversation on a civil level. It's possible to make your view known without resorting to insults (usually). I prefer an unmoderated thread though. You can always laugh at the guys who are losing it -g-
