Inhibitors of STAT function
Abstract
Compounds, compositions and methods that are useful in the treatment of immunoregulatory conditions and disorders are provided herein. In particular, the invention provides compounds which modulate the function of a Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (STAT) protein. The compounds are represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein Y, Ar, X, A.sup.2, A.sup.1, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are defined herein. The compounds are useful to treat, for example, allergic and inflammatory conditions and disorders.
