OT ... The problem with eliminating any tax, even the unjustifiable tax on dividends and/or earnings, is that the lost revenue must be recovered elsewhere. Untaxed dividends issued by the corporation would still be taxable to shareholders, and while dividends might be increased if there were no double taxation, some other revenue sources would have to be found - - - like, perhaps reinstating the estate tax. Fat chance of that happening, but the point is that one cannot simply reduce taxes.
