I do not think most people have a problem with teaching that radical islamist were responsible for 9/11- I think what needs to be taught is that they ARE radical, and do not represent the totality of Islam. For a country like ours, with a populace fairly ignorant about Islam, I think that is important. I felt the lesson plans were only trying to get at a rational view of what happened- in the context of our multi-religious, multi-ethnic, multi-opinionated society.
