I wonder if the term "jihad" is being explained to the children to whom the lessons of 9/11 are being taught. The NEA could translate it into Swedish, Chinese, English, Spanish, Japanese, French and Italian so as not to confuse the children into associating the term with any particular group.

The comparison to the camps for loyal Japanese-Americans in WWII and the expropriation of their assets is an insult to the citizens who endured that persecution. What has been proposed regarding the "group" in America that is ethnically identical to the individuals associated with the 9/11 events is such measures as that those innocents who fit the highest-probability profile of terrorists accept, for the good of all including them and their families, some inconvenience, administered one hopes with courtesy, at airports, for example, or when they apply to flight school or rent crop-dusting planes; that illegals from terrorist-associated countries be questioned and possibly deported; and that immigration from those countries be scrutinized and restricted.

That is hardly tossing you and your children into huts behind barbed wire and impoverishing you.
