I do not think that is really true- Far right folks have made an all out try at taking over school boards, and they are trying to take over other grass roots organizations- counting on the apathy of the moderate middle. I wouldn't want the job of tallying up which extremists are winning. I just wish they would all go away, but I'm too apathetic to do much about it :-)
