These have to come from inside; they cannot be imposed>> I agree and it seems the conditions you cite above cannot be found in any Arab or Muslim government. I have little hope they will learn as they continue along their road to self destruction. But strange as it is our weaknesses and theirs have us intertwined in a death spiral. Dont blame the government or big oil, US citizens still consider it a birth right to drive big gas guzzlers. We are willing to defend that right with the lives of our offspring. Maybe sometime we will realize the price is to high and that we have considerable power available to influence the suppliers of the product we love to waste. Our power to influence is through a very visible conservation effort.
