Good post. You are right on the money with your insights on naked options. The guys on the floor make all the profits. The spreads are scandalous, and it certainly seems the traders know things ahead of time. All the tech puts got expensive yesterday before the stocks weakened and MSFT announced less than the "whisper" number.

Covered calls however, can really be a money maker, especially with premiums where they are on the hot stocks.

Interestingly there has been a ton of action on the NOVL leaps recently.
