Yes, it is very stimulating. I love Washington, and this move worked out better, in substantial ways, such as location, than I had expected.
If it were near the Beltway, it was probably the one near me (Old Georgetown Rd exit, heading towards Rockville, but still in Bethesda). If it were about at the District line, it was the one in Friendship Heights, about 15 minutes from me. If it were over the Key Bridge, on M Street, it was the one in Georgetown (less than a half hour in very light traffic). Those are the only one's I can think of anywhere near me.
I am very fond of Greek, Middle Eastern, and, to a lesser extent, Indian food, but I try to vary, and rarely get on binges.
There are a lot of hispanic businesses towards New Hampshire Avenue. I may look for your chicken joints over there.
As far as the distance of the KFC, it baffles me a bit, since there are fast food joints, like McDonald's, closer. I figure they just have fewer locations, and have to be more careful about their demographics. They are in the middle of Rockville, which is, on average, less affluent. It would be faster if there were not a lot of lights on Rockville Pike, of course. |
