Would I be slandering Clinton if I said he made a mess of things? No. Just about any president could be accused of making a mess of things, esp. since the criteria for "making a mess" is subjective. You could also say Clinton did a great job, it's all a matter of what areas you consider important and what criteria you use to evaluate achievments in those areas.

Tim, slander is not just about the words, its the intent behind the words. There is no way that Ray intended to mean that all presidents make messes. His intent was very specific......that liberal presidents make messes......a definite example of biased slander and something all too typical of his posts.
