Yes, it was the first one in Washington, across from a movie theater, and near WTTG (channel 5). By the way, I saw "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" in the movie theater across the street, and as I walked in, I saw a heavy- set woman in a very nice black dress and shawl with some men in suits, getting ready to sit. As I passed, I realized that her eyes were a strange color, violet, in fact. I looked back, as I sat down, and, indeed, it was Elizabeth Taylor, when she was married to John Warner!
I am not sure about NW, but I think that the one in Rockville is the closest KFC to me. If there is one in downtown Silver Spring, it might be closer, and if I took the Beltway to Wheaton, it might be a little closer, I would have to consult my Yellow Pages and maps again to verify. It is true, by the way, that I can get to the Mall in 30 minutes, if traffic is not too heavy, so you are pretty close even without the Beltway.....Even from Annapolis, I could get to Reagan National in 45minutes, though you have to know a tricky exit off of 295..... |
