I didn't really think it would stay out of the news. I do think it's notable that Agilent didn't come out and blame the software vendor, or even mention who the vendor was in any official statement. But it's hardly a secret either, so it was bound to turn up someplace.

I always had a fair degree of respect for the Agilent (formerly HP/TMO) management, even though I strongly disagreed with many of their choices during the SAP project I worked on. Their classy handling of this situation reinforces that belief.
