I guess.... Now that I think about it, I tend to agree with you on your point on the P/E of 15 not being a valid measure to compare the current (or future) P/Es against.

But then most companies ( at least in the high tech sector) have no P/E - period!

As an investor I always look at P/S first before P/E. My level of comfort with P/S for the high techs varies (for semis it is between 2-3) -- anything above that and I feel like playing in a poker game and just relying strictly on my bluffing tactics in order to win! :)

Incidentally, currently the only company in the semis that I feel worth investing is LSI Logic.
