what do you think emissions would do as they are burning off right at the ozone level? My first guess is very little. You are talking about a localized effect (around the the exhaust of a rocket). The ozone problem has been shown to be a world wide problem that is noticed significantly at the poles. I checked a bunch of sites on google. I think this one makes suitable reading. It's got lots of truth in it. Governments are not to be trusted yes, but that does not mean they never tell the truth. BUT suspicious minds and probing questions keep em honest. No harm in asking questions -g- epa.gov Important note from that site... One chlorine atom can destroy more than 100,000 ozone molecules and bromine is 40 times more effective at destroying ozone. Of course I look forward to the threads enlightened scientists (and there are several) to enlarge upon my point of view -g-
