the-phoenix - IB's TWS by itself does not support "one-click" trade initiation. However, there are a number of people who have done some excellent work using IB's API to program add-ons to the IB TWS which accomplish this and much more.

See the following:

interactivebrokers.com

interactivebrokers.com

These are the author's web sites:

sling.to

geocities.com

Both are excellent, although my own personal preference is AutoTrader. It is lightning fast, uses direct socket connection to TWS, and in my opinion is less cumbersome and "simpler" (more elegant?) than BracketTrader. Its also much easier to set up, coming with all that's needed to run it (make sure, though, that you have the latest Sun Java release which is 1.4X). A quibbling quarrel for me with regard to Bracket Trader is that there are a number of DLLs, etc one must download and keep track of.

At any rate, both are quite good and should do the trick.

Regards...
