100 Russian soldiers killed by head-hacking Chechen Moslem maniacs.

If the USA hadn't supported "Freedom Fighters" in Chechnya in the USA's obsessive, irrational, attacks against Russians, long after the Big Bogeyman of Global Communism was over, then Stan Shaw would probably be alive, along with the three Americans whose heads were also hacked off and left on the side of the road. So would the 100 Russian soldiers who were helping in the fight against the Matrix of Malevolence, which needs all the help it can get. The Twin Towers would probably be still standing if Gorby had been supported instead of opposed in Afghanistan.

What's needed is, as Kissinger says, a more robust international approach which depends less on outright use of brute force.

He's right, but what's really needed is a revamped, reconstituted United Nations, based on democratic principles, not on Mugabe, Hussein and Dostum having a say, but with a constitution which prevents 'redistribution of wealth' which is a destructive aspect of democracy as practised now. Pavlovian dogs of war automatically start drooling when the UN is mentioned as a solution because they are unable to imagine a future that is different from the past.

Paradigm Shift Happens and a LOT of it will continue to happen in the absence of a sensible approach to international relations. A sensible approach doesn't mean the USA ruling the world - those who think "Aw shucks, why not?" should read the USA Declaration of Independence.

Foreign Policy decisions reverberate around for decades and even centuries and unintended consequences are common. The misjudgement about Gorby's intentions was the original mistake and obvious to anyone who was half awake and not obsessively and rabidly 'anti-communist'. Communism is alive and well in the free west, including the great and glorious USA, with Governor Gray playing statesman by maintaining a big state role from housing to power supplies [and causing a huge shortage, just like the Kremlin planners of old].
