John, do you think stoning to death is a good idea? Also, the Maoris were cool with colonisation, same as we are now, with Asians flooding in. It works by bribery and one day, the crowds are enormous and the occupation is complete. It's happening to us as you read this. More arrivals in the airport... There are actually better ways of life, with greater ethical standards. All ethics and value systems are not created equal. Yes, there really is moral superiority and I have it compared with most people. In fact I'm almost perfect. I just need to get my modesty right and then I'm ready to take over from the Big Fella. Of course you are right that the colonizing is NOT done for the benefit of the locals. But that doesn't mean the locals don't benefit. It's called human trade and free exchange. The local bosses don't necessarily like it as they go down the pecking order. But sometimes, even they like it, as with the Maoris, who saw great benefit to immigration and then colonization. Same as we do today, with immigration and then colonization. I'm the modern Maori and I'm not moaning. Who are you to tell me whether I want to be colonized or not? Mqurice
