The other day I saw an article about Intel's attempts to deal with hot spots on the die by having two cores taking loads from each other when they get too toasty. It was referred to as the "hot potato" technology. I was LMAO reading it.

I don't know if you remember but I was telling meanibees here about hot spots on Willamette die over two years back.

Anyhow, with the latest Athlon overclocking to 2.8GHz, there is a long hot Xmas season for Intel. The AMD wolverine is starting to chew on Intel's soft underbelly in earnest again.
