Japan (not China) is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma

I can make great arguments for the JYen to enjoy a strong bear market bounce, continuing what it started in the spring/summer

this would engineer a major curveball for their hidebound govt leaders, since their economy is export-based

their DeadManWalking banks might have to finally restructure in some sort of managed bankruptcy process, which would force some sales of USTBonds, providing further lift to the JYen

the S&P downgrade applies pressure to these ECONOMIC MORONS running the world's second largest economy

but as we know, a higher trending JYen would send their StuckInMolasses economy to hell in a handbasket

what do you see for future nearterm prospects in Japan?
much appreciated for gracing this thread with your presence
thanks / jim
