Your remark is irrelevent in this context, I'm not sure why you bring this up. However, since you brought it up, the US Supreme Court wasn't doing anything unusual -- it granted cert in an appeal from a lower court. Happens all the time.

Their election intercession notwithstanding, the normal role of the Court is to review cases on which lower courts have ruled. Apparently, no one has brought a case against Congress attacking their abdication of responsibilities.

Don't you think it is strange that if presidents are going to war without the appropriate congressional approval no one has seen fit to bring suit on constitutional grounds? I think it is a clear indication that NOBODY with standing agrees with you on this issue...
