Well, I've read some of Krugman's more esoteric stuff, such as "The Return of Depression Economics" because it had some interesting analysis about Japan's malaise, and what will be required to change the trend there (but it's driven by demographics which Krugman seems to discount).

Here is an excellent write up on that book and some of the criticisms of Krugman's perspective:
