So why should PCS be interested in spending money to upgrade to 1X? Anyone know? Something that recently occurred to me (although I have seen no mention of it) is that especially at the higher frequencies that PCS uses (with their greater attenuation due to buildings and hence greater power fluctuations) PCS may want CDMA2000 for its better (i.e. faster) power control. Probably fewer dropped calls and generally better quality. Clark
