A strong surge into the close today by the semi-equips. The Group was sitting at +4.7 percent gain with 10 minutes to go till the close and it closed up at +5.5 percent. All 28 of the stocks in the Group closed in the "green". KLIC led the charge with a 14.3 percent gain and SFAM was last with a 1.0 percent gain. The NASDAQ also made a nice move at the end of the session to close at 1408.97 - well above the 1400 level. All 17 stocks in the SOX were in the "green" today as well. The index was up 4.7 percent to close at 361.77. The top gainer was BRCM with a 9 percent gain while NVLS was in last place with a 2 percent gain.
