Still not widely reported, but according to CBS Marketwatch, Ritalin-SR (Ritalin-LA) was approved by the FDA for marketing by Novartis. Elan gets royalties and also manufactures the drug. Approval came just in time for the beginning of the school year. It will be interesting to see how much market this one-a-day drug captures.
