What is a measured approach. I'd say you construct in your mind and reply with reservation and that's OK. I construct the measure in my reply that expresses my reservation and my direct reply. Well one can just say directly to someone you are xyz because you said this. Or one can say. I see this as a logical interpretation of what you said and If that is what you meant then you are xyz. That is what I call a measured response that is tolerant of someone mis-stating something. It is giving an opportunity for a further exchange to clarify. Your words are "the post was offensive and thoughtless". That is what my words were also and then in measured way I gave my interpretation of what was said and left open an opportunity for further clarification. But if my interpretation was correct then my proffer was not to much and I think that my observation of stupid loser uttering trash is 100% correct. When someone makes a post that can be construed to be extremely offensive then I think that a gentlemen should point it out and why. How is a stupid person who does not intend to be offensive going to learn anything if folks don't care enough to point out extreme bad manners.
