Patrick, There is an interesting slide, page 47 of the presentation, of an asymmetric dual processor desktop. It has one Opteron with 2 HT links used, one for I/O, one to connect to the other CPU. The second processor is just a single HT link Clawhammer. They call the processors foreground and background. Joe
